Let's see your Scout/Camp knives

Who has made a scout type knife with a clip point blade instead of the usual spear style?

Look up Craftsman Scouts Phil...many have clip mains.

heres a couple Craftsman scouts. The saw scout was recently sent to me from my brother in CA. with 4 brothers I have them looking in likely nooks and crannies, as the saw blade knives brought to my attention by Buzz, tend to be pricey on the auction site.

Hey thats a nice Remington 3333, terrific shape for age...wished I could say that more often:D Looks practically unused...expect for the years of some exposure. the etch kind of looks ...what is that called reverse film?

Nice group, jblyttle, there seems to be no end to the interesting variations of camper models :)

Swaybacksteve, always a treat to see blades which still have an etch.

Great example, waynorth, and hard not to like most any Remington model.

It's the usual etch - not reversed, Steve.
Glad you like it!!

Charlie, Reverse was the wrong term. I think I meant like a negative, usually the etch is black on the shiny metal. this one has the patina and the etch looks silvered, lighter. It's a cool look...

I dont know how you do it Charlie- That Remington is a Beauty, like you say the Bone Handles are outstanding from that era!

These two came in yesterday's mail.

Did anyone pick up one of the DRB scouts from PDW's wholesale section? They had some very cool one offs and "2nds". I still would like to find one, but soooo many knives on the list...old story, eh? :)
Thanks, Neal

My "short list" only has ... 40? ... 50? knives on it. :) Nothing expensive, mainly Rough Rider, Marbles and Kutmaster ... and an Old Timer 858OTB. :)

I apologize for the quality of these photos - my dog was anxious of for me to finish and walk him. From left to right, a Camillus BSA knife (1989-2007), an Ulster (I think, it has only MADE IN (over) USA on main and CAN OPENER on can opener) engineer, and the single blade is an Imperial (tang stamp is Imperial (crown over "i") (over) STAINLESS (over) U.S.A.). I included the single blade as it has the official BSA National Council stamp on handle and the blade looks like every scout in the council used it for sharpening practice.

I dubbed the middle knife an Ulster engineer, as I have seen it called so in two postings of identical knives. I do not actually know what it is and am open to education.

Justin, I posted a picture of an "unknown to me" knife that I now realize looks a lot like the knife in the upper left corner of your collection, except that my knife (posted earlier today and should appear close to this reply) does not have a thumb stud on the can opener. What knife is that one in your picture? Thanks.
