Let's see your Scout/Camp knives

Kingston or Ulster - as we discussed before there's very little between them.
Buzz your comments and knowledge are a pleasure to read and to soak up!
Charlies knife- a knife that tidy loosing it's etch? but everything else points to Kingston - perhaps Ulster itself.
Charlie when you pasted your friends advice on what the last knife of mystery with "Made in USA" was - that too was a great learning curb for most..
Buzz- love your latest Boker- thats a neat Knife!
I used to think- after reading it somewhere that the only markings on a Knife that said "Made in USA" meant it was Camillus- now I know different I need to go through my knives and rediscover just what I have.

I love this Thread!

I'm liking this one more every time I pick it up.

An all steel Camillus four line Scout. Pocket worn buttery smooth bone in great condition. All blades near full and tight. How cool for 70 plus yrs:thumbsup:

That ones a beauty!!! The pocket work green bone on the old Engineers Knives just becomes more and more beautiful with age. I’m always surprised by how many of them have survived without any cracks at the pins. The majority of the ones I find have near perfect bone. Yours is quite exceptional. A perfect variety of shade and color.

And there were so many of these knives made, you can actually use them without worrying about ruining a museum piece.

Your shield got a nice deep stamp!

Very nice one Paul!! Full of patina and character, and ready for another 100 years!! You can't ask for more in a grizzled old (yet youthful) Scout!!:)

Haha - Thats a neat description of an old but Beautiful Scout Charlie!
Rob- I too fall deeper for that Catt every time you show it! Thats a honey of a Knife my friend! I think that Punch is great!

Paul- Like Buzz and Charlie have already said- thats a real Sweetheart of a Knife you got there! well Done! That Bone is juuuuust Beeeautiful!!!!!

Wow. That bone isn’t just jigged. It has craters!!! Very cool.
I was wishing for the Sea of Tranquility and this will do just fine :) It had quite a bit of rust and grim but cleaned up nicely. Strong snaps, tight throughout, full tools and no cracks to the bone. Good stamps on the tangs and the shield is heavy and deep. They were only open a few years and I have been hunting a specimen. It's now apparent the company produced a superb product. I'm grinning ear to ear :D I'll keep it wiped down with oil and make sure the rust is in check. I'll carry it of course......just to give it life ;)

Thanks Duncan ! I'm trying my best not to sharpen it and carry it.

Thanks Rob and Paul
Going to be busy tomorrow so....quick late night table shots....it still needs some wiping down

I decided against opening all the blades at once :
It's a cruel world
We've so much to loose
And what we have to learn we rarely choose
If I was weak, forgive me
But I was terrified
....as the song goes :)
