  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Let's see your Striders!!!!!!

Great thread, BUT now I'm really wishing I had not passed on a PD1 blade when they were more readily available.

I need one of those SMF's in my life again...;):D:thumbup:

Damn I don't have a strider yet but if someone can help me find a strider slcc cpm3v I would be eternally grateful!! Thanks guys and btw badass knives!! Just started getting into it and already can tell this is gonna be an expensive hobby haha!

I like this thread! Here's mine:

DGG w/ DigiCam PD-1 blade...I'd been looking for an SnG in this config for a long time and kinda lost my sh!t when I saw just 5 of these come up from a Strider retailer a couple weeks ago. Easily one of the nicest, all around solid, and best feeling Striders I've ever had the pleasure of handling. I plan to keep and use this one for a long time to come

It seems like the overall quality and F&F on the knives coming out the shop these days is pretty dead-on perfect and based on my limited experience, heat treatment is great regardless of steel, and when it comes down to it these knives truly are tough. I'll also ad that based on my time hanging around the green forum, their warranty is one of the few I'd even try to compare to the Busse warranty.

The whole process of breaking one in and enjoying the sweet action is truly pleasurable - they only seem to get better with age and use. Between the smell (yes, really) as well as the sound and feeling that comes with opening and closing and using the blade, the Strider folders I've handled more closely evoke the feeling of handling a gun like a Kalashnikov more so than a knife...I really enjoy that intangible pleasure and haven't found any other knife that brings about any kind of similar sensation...

Great looking Striders...I don't own one but I'm on the fence...with two toes hanging over.

Based on all that I've written above, I'm inclined to tell you that as soon as you see your ideal combo listed for sale, jump on it! Try to get a more recently made one with the revised lock geometry too and you should be quite happy. If you find that it isn't for you, passing it on to the next guy shouldn't be very difficult
