  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Here's an older picture of some of mine.

Here is the start over to my Case collection thus far...hoping to add a few more sooner than later.

These are my oldest that I refer to as "the twins". They belonged to my paternal grandfather, and he used them like a surgeon. Made sometime between 1940 and 1964.

btmccutcheon, those twins are something special. Thanks for sharing!

Randy, very nice variety!

Thank you, Harry!

Robert, you're off to a great start! And thanks!... the 6380 is one of my favorites, too.

Here are a couple of my paternal grandfather's knives. He'd be 116 if he were living today. World War I veteran (fibbed about his age and joined the Army at the tender age of 16), Great Depression veteran. His last car was a 1959 Ford Fairlane that he bought new and drove until he died 15 years later... rumored to have never changed the oil, just added oil as needed.

Except for that 1959 Ford, he spent very little on himself. He did without for much of his adult life so that his 5 grandchildren never had to worry about being able to afford college. He loved to hunt and fish and he loved his bloodhounds, black & tans and blueticks almost as much as he loved his grandchildren.

MerryMadMonk Thanks! I sure do love my Case's. And you're welcome. I now have another Case to track down lol

I do not have any of that beautiful Red Bone Case in any pattern , but wish that I did. With that said , I will show my favorite 3 patterns that I have from Case. I think all 3 of them are greatly under appreciated patterns , but that is just my opinion.
Saddlehorn

Gunstock : I wish that the blades were on the other end though like Cattaraugus

Russlock : Great work knives , but I just gave my worker to a Son-in-law

Harry

Some of you have heard this before. My dad carried a Soddie Jr. for years. When he passed, of course Mom gave me his knife. The day we viewed the body I realized he didn't have a knife on him. If he had on Pants he had a knife. So I bought two Soddie Jr's and stuffed one in his pocket. This picture is of Dad's old Soddie and the mate to the one in his pocket.

I think that old Sodbuster has seen one or two licks on a stone.

MerryMadMonk, thanks for finding this gem of a thread that I didn't even know existed here before you brought it back up. Nice knives, everyone. It's dark here now so I don't have a lot of pics, but here are mine...

A lot of nice knives in this thread! I really like the color of the bone on the older knives.

I've got two recent ones: a 6344 medium stockman and a peanut.

Nice Case knives everyone, I've got a thing for the 50's thru 70's red bones, some of the prettiest handle material ever in my opinion.
