Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

I forgot all about this thread, some great knives being posted.
Here's an old tested with fairly full blades, the master has been reshaped into a skinner :D This one is in my pocket a lot lately,it takes a scary edge.

Best regards

This 1974 Case Barlow is both my favorite Case I own and favorite Barlow I own.

Ive always always ALWAYS loved the look of the case barlows. Especially when they have Case XX on the bolster. I don't think I have ever seen one that was ugly, they all seem to have a certain authority in aesthetics.

Some great looking Case knives here. Thanks for posting everybody. I just have these few at the moment.

I will show my favorite 3 patterns that I have from Case. I think all 3 of them are greatly under appreciated patterns , but that is just my opinion.

Saddlehorn

Harry

Harry, those are some great knives. I especially like your Saddlehorns. I need to make room for one of those!

Beautiful Jack, hamsco!

MerryMadMonk, thanks for finding this gem of a thread that I didn't even know existed here before you brought it back up. Nice knives, everyone. It's dark here now so I don't have a lot of pics, but here are mine...

My pleasure, Chris... and holy smokes you've got some good ones! :)

I've got two recent ones: a 6344 medium stockman and a peanut.

That's a nice pair, zolthar :)

I certainly agree with you about the color Augie !!!!

Harry

+1 Those are beautiful, Augie!

Thanks Al !!! I very much appreciate your kind comments. I would really like to have a Saddlehorn with a Barlow length bolster like some of the verrrrrrrrrry old Barlows. They are very comfortable in the hand .

Some really lovely vintage blades in this thread.

Case is not that easy to get in Europe, so I tried to get popular models in my little collection.
They're all users.

The only vintage one is the pen at the bottom, the rest are pretty recent.

The swayback has some problems, I'm sorry to say.
We'll get around to fixing it someday.

The sowbelly is by far my favorite, it winds up in my pocket 9 days out of 10.

My most recent acquisition, although it's a 12 year old knife. I ground down the skinner blade into a sheepfoot.

Sarah, what is the bare end Peanut with the Federal shield? SFO maybe? I've never seen that one before.

I've got one of those Whalers too. :D

Rick, in an early giveaway here in the Traditional Subforum, Esnyx offered up knives and parts thereof to be customized to each winner's tastes. I won a Case Peanut, and you are beholding the result.

Here, you can just glimpse the main blade's Case tang stamping:

The blue bone is among the best I've seen (I can't imagine better), but to my eyes the shield makes the knife as a whole.

The knife is perhaps a bit o' a stretch for this thread, but as it remains a Case Peanut in its bones and outward form, I consider it to belong with my "Case Blues"-- hence its inclusion above.

I've got one of those Whalers too. :D

Ah, so you do! I like how one does not have to guess at what Case calls this pattern. :D

I've now put a lanyard on mine, as the blade edge seems somehow more attracted to the bail on this one (yeowtch) than on other bailed beauties in my array.

Sarah, you do have some great looking examples. I especially love the color of that custom peanut too.

Thanks for the summary, Sarah. I never would have guessed it. Beautiful knife and I also really like the way the shield looks on it.

Man, those Bose Norfolks and half-whittlers are killer. I'd really like to pick one up some day, super nice lines. Here are my only two Case knives for now, but I think a sowbelly is probably going to make its way to me before too long:
