  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

I saw where Case made a line with Carhartt on the shield but stamped Case on the tang. Are Case knives made for other companies considered collectable as well?

@Pertinux yourblue barlow makes me mad!

A wise man once told me, "Collect what you like". It's made more and more sense to me the longer I've been at this. :)

How 'bout three generations of the same knife?

My new Case peanut in green dyed, curly maple. Unfortunately, this picture does not capture the deep translucence and the figure that you can see in the scales when moved back and forth in the sun. Very pleased with the F & F as well.

When I first received my dark red mini trapper, I wasn't sure if I really liked the color of the scales. There were some white spots and the red was just a bit too candy-like for my taste. On the other hand I liked how the white spots showed it was a natural material.

I finally decided to give the tea and coffee dyeing method a try and I quite like how it turned out. At first it did seem to have little effect, but after a while the bone has darkened considerably.

Here are some before pics:

And this is how it looks now. It was just a bit lighter colored than the stockman, now it's considerably darker:
