Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Interesting Tale: In my early days on ebay, this fellow was selling this knife as a "promotional knife" for Case Tractors!! I bid a few 'peanuts" on it and won the auction for a Case XX #61048 Redbone farmers knife (serpentine jack) with a heartwarming patina; one of my earliest collectible Case knives!! ;) Farmers knife 61048 4.jpgFarmers knife 61048 2.jpg

Newest Case just landed: the Small Swell Center Jack in Maple Burl. Pictures fresh out the box with a comparison shot with my Peanut.

That's a beauty, Wurrwulf Wurrwulf ! I've been wondering exactly how those would compare to others of similar size. It's nice to see one "in the wild" instead of just in Case promotional photos. Thanks for sharing!
No doubt! It immediately feels more substantial than the Peanut in hand. Heftier, wider, longer, the blades are bigger, and it all adds up to seem much bigger than what your eyes are telling you.

The Caribbean blue / ss bone 6225-1/2 just dropped, hopefully it won't be too long till my dark red bone/ CS 6225-1/2 is available.

When that happens and I get it I'll try not to post too many pictures, but you all know I like to post Patina progress updates.

I could really go for a single blade CV... but because I want it, the chances are low. 🤣
John,
Case hasn't released any info regarding a single blade 25 1/2 AFAIK but they do have a couple CV with two blades coming soon. I'm waiting for a micarta which is SS too, unfortunately.
edit to correct inaccurate info. thanks Hickory n steel Hickory n steel

I'm tempted by the two blade models, but will probably pass because I know I won't carry it much.
But a single blade would make an excellent watch pocket backup knife. I'd buy one of those in a second.

The Yellow delrin is SS as far as I know.

It seems the dark red and pocket worn grey are the only CS options so far and likely at all.

It sucks that the 2 most ubiquitous covers to get CS blades with are being squandered on an SS knife.
I know there are people who prefer SS, but they gotta throw us CS guys a bone worth catching once in awhile.

So many nice covers that wood look much better next to a dark patina'd blade that never get the chance to truly shine.

You don't carry 2 bladed knives ?

I seem to find single bladed jacks more appealing visually, but don't really care enough to pass on a 2 blader.
I find the smaller secondary blades useful enough to appreciate, but also not often enough to find necessary so I could go either way.
