Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

<snip>
I really like this TribalLock, which is a good size/utility ratio, I wish there was more care taken with the finishes by Case.
I'm considering changing the pads to have rivets that don't scratch the hands when used. 😂
I just have to find a cutler who will do it. 🤷‍♂️

I'm lucky with mine I guess, only one pin can catch skin. It has jigging running through the pin location, and one side has just enough space I can catch skin if I rub the right direction. That pin is a little proud on the other side as well, but not enough to catch skin.

New pic of the green bone 47 today.

I meant to respond to Corto_Malt Corto_Malt post about rough edged pins too.

My Tribal Lock doesn't have that issue, but it CAN be tamed by taking a leather strop for sharpening and 'buffing' the pins a bit, it softens any burrs around the pins without attacking the scales- except it shines them a bit. Worked well for me in similar situations anyway.

Thanks, Will

Good to know, I'll have to give that a try. Thanks!

Hi
Thanks, I'll try it sometime.
But I would still like to change the inserts to a nice wood or micarta. The stain on my knife bone is a bit disappointing compared to other whiskey bone I've seen.
I am disappointed with the finish compared to my other Tribal Lock (Star-Spangled)
Have a nice day

Well the 25-1/2 is finally starting to hit the market.
Currently it's just the smooth yellow, the brown maple burl, and the kirinite.

It's really looking like the 2 CS options we know about are probably going to be the only options they do, as always catering to those who just want something shiny with flashy covers that they can put in a display case.
Additional options have been added to the lineup and every one of them is SS.

Well at least they did do 1 decent CS option, if only they'd hurry up and release it already.

Yes, I understand your reaction. The Whiskey Bone on mine was rather too Orange for my taste when it arrived. A Tea bath soon darkened the scales in a satisfying way though
