Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Thanks, Alan and James!

I really like the new Case Walnut with Rogers bone. Beautiful knives!
I've got to get at least one.... I'd get 'em all if they came in CV.

Some Red Bone from '72! :D

Our whole Case collection. The two on the left are my fathers, the rest are mine.

Dad loves his mini trapper so much that he never has replaced it and carries it everyday.

I started with the green wharncliffe mini trapper. Literally from day one I loved it. So classy, shiny, "mature", etc. In fact, I loved it so much after carrying it a couple years I got scared I might break it so I stopped carrying it and bought the green medium stockman for many years. I liked it good as well but never found a use for the third blade. Which led me to purchase my third carrying pocketknife; the green texas jack. I got it today. Hopefully I will love it too!

Both hunting knives were bought for hunting, not for everyday carrying like the others.

There's a conversation going on now about sunken pins on GECs. I hadn't thought much about it before reading that thread but I very much notice it now. Looking at these Case knives I'm struck by how well they do their pins. Matched and shiny!

I love that copperhead! Is that green Bone??

I'm slightly color deficient and green is not one of my best colors, I looks like a dark brown/red to me but the scales also looked like they absorbed either a lot of sweat or something that darkened it. It's almost black it's so dark.

See what I mean, it's hard to capture but certainly a joy to hold and use, I still can't get over how well it's aged, reminds me of a car from the 70s that's been driven and enjoyed but taken care of too. You can see the signs of wear but not abuse, signs of care but not of obsessive sharpening and cleaning. It has a well earned patina and gently worn scales, this knife was loved. :)

Harry - The Walnut Jigged Bone IMHO is one of their best current offerings!:thumbup:

Ted - That is a terrific ole Copperhead! One of my favorite patterns. :)

This is a Chestnut Jigged Bone Backpocket in CV. They are some beautiful knives, unfortunately I believe this model has been discontinued. :)
