Inside lighting it's walnut colored, outside brings out a purple hue, either way it's called Rodger's jig bone.

You got a very good looking one James . The covers are nice and dark to the end of the jigging and I can not see any reds at all in the picture .
Congrats my friend .

Harry

Thanks Harry, Case does a good job with their trappers and this is no exception. Good F&F, smooth walk, nice snappy talk and a pull right near five. I'm very pleased with my new mini-trapper and glad you recommended getting something from this series. It's a nice knife all round.

That's a great example of the run James. I love those threaded bolsters.

When Harry posted his group, I decided to add threads to my recent received Davison.

Thanks Alan. Yes, threaded bolsters do tend to dress up a knife. I'm quite enamored with the jigging on this one and mini-trappers in general. Great pocket size with two very capable blades.
I went looking for your Davison and am I glad I found it. If it is the curved Jack with coined liners and Ironwood handles it's fantastic and the bolsters being threaded look just right. Congrats on that one Alan, too beautiful!!!

I like a little bling on some of my knives, I guess?

That's it James. Here it is in case.

Well? That link didn't work. Anyway you got it. I like a Case mini , but I can't get comfortable with my full size trapper. I have trouble opening the Spey for some reason?

your walnut rogers is a beauty.
