Let's see your W.A. Surls Knife!

Thanks Tony, ignore my unfinished backslash, hopefully my tile guy will have it finished next week. :p

i think that top one is mine;)

Ok, you deserve to win one every once in a while. Though I suspect our friend is not about to give those prizes away easily.

My crossdraw pic from this morning. A couple Surls in this mix, and my prize Karda.

Tony, your Raven brings tears to my eyes (of joy and appreciation obviously) every time I see it....

I do wish I could report that this promising little scene led to an even more promising conclusion (at least for me). It did not. The buck came along an hour after I shot this pic. Solid shot, but with very little daylight left, a good blood trail, and a monster rainstorm moving in, I knew I had to find him fast. If he crossed into the posted/private property and the rain started, I'd lose him. Which is exactly what happened. I gave him 30 minutes, then started to track. He jumped and crossed the fence line. Tracked for three hours into the full dark. Rain completely washed out his trail. Returned in the morning and gave it another try, but the much needed monsoon rains coupled with tiny farms and crossing property lines ended this adventure with a sad result.

But the picture is nice.

Took a brief pause from my hunting/stalking/checking my phone for Blade Forum updates/sleeping in the woods activities today to snap a few pics of the new "Unamed" from Allen. Just ridiculously beautiful.

And this guy, courtesy of my game camera (no, there were no spotlights involved with taking this image). Bucks like this aren't often seen in my neck of the woods - at least in daylight hours. He's routinely coming through very late at night, literally a few feet from my tree stand. Hoping that pattern shifts. Now if I can just stop taking pics of knives and pay attention!

The "Unamed" truly is a thing of beauty. Good luck out there. I hope it gets pressed into service today. [emoji3]

That is exactly what I was hoping for - to post pics of a bloodied, hair and gut covered knife. Seriously.

But, monsoon rains here today (badly needed), and my son's final performance as the young Scrooge in the high school play. I'll hunt in the rain, but I can't miss the boy's dramatic moment.

Well, that's a great reason to get out of the woods. I'm glad there's rain down there as well. Definitely needed. I'm sure we'll get those pics before the season is out. [emoji106]
