Lets talk GEC!

@TheJon I have a particular pair of jean shorts that, for whatever reason, always gets something gritty in the joints of my knives when I pocket them. I've laundered them a bunch but it just won't go away (the shorts, not the knives). Have you noticed this phenomena with anything else?

Are those jean shorts stone washed? I've noticed the same grit in mine that are stone washed. Never seems to come out.

Interesting cover photo of the beer and sausage knife. The B&S are all tidioute trim but the displayed has a long pull and looks like northfields bolsters. The mockup shows a nail nick, do they sometimes produce tidioute knives with long pulls?

Yes frequently, my 14 Spear is a Tidioute long pull, so too TC Barlows in Spear, Bail & chain 15s Clip etc

Naw, not even, just regular Levis from Walmart. It's the darnedest thing. I hate wearing them because of the grit it gets in the joints!

You might try what I do if you haven't already.

First I hold the pocket inside out with my left hand and keeping the pocket tightly stretched, I use a lint roller with my right hand. I usually go through 2 sheets from the lint roller before I'm not getting anymore debris on the third one. Make sure you stretch out the pocket enough to completely expose the bottom seam because that's where the debris likes to collect. When I'm finished with that I put them back in their normal position and stick a Shark attachment in there to vacuum them out.

Had to go check photos but my beer scout is a long pull as well, not match strike but long.

Or stop wearing jorts, :rolleyes::oops::eek::D;)

Man, remember the good ol’ days when we had the time to say “jean shorts”? Those were the days, right Jiki? Candy was two bits and a haircut was a nickel, and we saved our brass to fight the Nazi’s. There used to be a time that a man could proudly put on his jean shorts one leg at a time, comb his magnificent mustache, slip a knife in his pocket and climb into his AMC Rambler. Sadly fashion is as fleeting as Jiki’s basswood supply.

I wear my jean shorts proudly, and a belt to keep the number of knives the pockets from making me indecent. Just a man in jean shorts about town.

Go get em Stone Cold.

True spec 24-7 tactical shorts. A knife pocket on each side. Perfect for us knife nerds. No slip needed.;)

The Tidioute 97s have long pulls

That is a nice enough spear blade on the 35. If they do a run with that spear and a secondary like the Churchill has, I hope they make a bunch. And with more cover choices this time. :thumbsup::D

Unfortunately, if they haven't announced a general run outside of the B&S knife by now, I find it unlikely we will see any other variants aside from the committed SFOs. I'm certainly holding out for the rumored M&G version. If they stick to the old M&G ad, it will be a jack style with Spear main and Pen secondary. There is also the "Carpenter's Knife" from their old catalog - it has a Spear main with sheepfoot and pen secondaries. That would certainly tickle my fancy as well.
