Lets talk GEC!

I’ve been carrying my ‘17 BF knife today, and I forget how outstanding a #15 with long bolsters feels in the hand. GEC did hit the sweet spot with the #15 frame. It’s such a utilitarian size and design. I could really go for a clip #15 with small wharnecliffe pile-side secondary.

What’s up everyone? I’m new to the knife world and this site. It seems like trying to buy these GECs is a full time job! I missed the lottery yesterday and the email today. Guess I’d better add some more avenues. Looking forward to learning more with y’all and growing my little collection!
Best,
Ray

Welcome. Hang around here long enough and you will get it figured out. Good luck to you on your quest.

Welcome, I haven’t been on the porch that long myself but I’m really enjoying it and I’m sure you will too!

Bought this fella when GEC first started crankin' them out. It's the only one I own. The etching on the back of the master blade is all but gone but you can still make out 1 of 50.

Great knife, love the covers on that one. Two very useful tools as well!

I’m sure you will have better luck picking up something in the future. You picked about the hardest/most desirable knife to try to get as your first. There are other Great Eastern knives available at dealers that might be a good way to get started. Good luck and welcome.

When GEC was just started to get rolling, this frame was about the only one you could get. There were different blade configurations but always the same frame.
There were the normal QC issues that any new company goes thru but they got much better as time went by.
