Gotcha. I remember now. Thanks!Dang... That one completely slipped under my radar. What a hectic day...
There were 16 of Charlie's that had hammered pins - it was proving to be too much work so they finished the rest of the run with spun spins.
Agree!!Hobbies are supposed to be fun, not stressful.
Especially if it is an auction. Gouging typically is associated with emergencies and essential items. It's not an emergency and your 47th knife is not an essential. If there is a crime who is the victim?Agree!!
(FWIW, GEC prices are far higher than I'm willing to pay, but I think our economic system is set up to encourage sellers to get the highest price "the market will bear" for their product, so I can't agree with calling dealers or flippers "price gougers" if they can find buyers at the prices they charge.)

I like the balloon spear and coping combo. Excited to see this new batchView attachment 1495319
The early reserve was for the smooth autumn gold bone TC, and the drawing is for the glitter gold and Osage.

Albers? Can you do it??Especially if it is an auction. Gouging typically is associated with emergencies and essential items. It's not an emergency and your 47th knife is not an essential. If there is a crime who is the victim?
Not that I like or support any of this, however this is the market. The cure in my mind is either volume or competition.
... your 47th knife is not an essential.
What do you call it when flippers sell $63 TCs for $450+ on ebay?
You know they could put a caplifter on these 85s.......![]()

I certainly agree with you on just about every point . My memory is not as good as it used to be but I will remember the Dealers ., who to me , are now Flipper Dealers to me and will not ever see any of my money . I have now UN-Subscribed from their E-Mails .For the record, @EngrSorenson does NOT speak for me! (Yes, I know you were just being facetious EngrSoreson, but I have read similar comments that appeared to be sincere.) Why anyone would want to pay higher prices just because flippers exist is beyond me!
If all dealers begin to "mark 'um up " to whatever price they want, then count me out for good. Some dealers are doing that now, and they will never have my business again. I will remain loyal to those who do not.
And please stop with this foolish notion that certain dealers are only jacking up prices to hurt the flippers. That is like killing the patient to slow down the disease. People can rationalize whatever they want, but do not do me the "favor" of charging me more to protect me from flippers. I can avoid them easy enough by not buying their knives! Dealers should not gouge good honest customers on the pretext of slowing down flippers!
I am only one customer. Maybe others are willing to pay more just because dealers can get it at this moment in history. Time will tell, but I certainly hope that everyone has a long memory. Circumstances will change. They always do. When that happens, I expect the flipper dealers will be the ones left holding the bag. Flipper dealers are risking long term viability for short term profits.
I can handle frenzied drops, email alerts, early reserves, and the rest. But I will not tolerate flipper dealers. That is where I draw the line. How pathetic is it to beg someone to sell you a knife for double or triple retail, and then thank them for the privlege?! Some dealers have not gone over to the dark side yet, but you can see they are inching closer and testing the waters. They need to know we are watching, and there will be a price to pay. Flipper dealers are taking advantage of us, and we should never forget it.
Just not a pen blade.I'm hoping for a non EO with a punch or coping secondary, fingers and toes crossed.
I am anxious to see your Old Russell .I bought an old Russell... and a Case... and an Old Timer.![]()
Me too.I am anxious to see your Old Russell .
