Lets talk GEC!

I agree. I searched far and wide for the #55 Hounds Tooth and was finally able to purchase one from a great forum member that gave me a fantastic price. It is cherished to me, but I do LOVE a Clip Blade. :)
I love the 55 with the wharncliffe, and I’m not a big wharncliffe fan, usually. I too love clips, and spears, but neither of them worked on the 56 for me. I was really excited for both, but quickly passed them along.
I like vintage dog legs, but I don’t think GEC has it dialed it, outside the wharncliffe.
I feel the same way about the 38 and 57, too. The wharncliffe versions trump the clips.

I never lost my love of the brand, but it's going to take something special to get me off the fence.
The Osage Barlow is certainly something special, but that's such a long shot it's not worth leaving my perch.

agreed, its usually a single blade 15 or 48 or 77 that has my interest, end caps? you have my attention GEC, its time to reach out to the usual suspects. Ill come running. Most of last year's production was "oh yeah? Thats what theyre doing now eh? thats nice, Im sure someone wants that" to me.

haha I misspoke- I meant my excitement for the brand. I will always love what GEC has done for me thus far.

I’ve got a bad case of the wants, and if history indicates future outcomes, all it would take is Jiki giving me a little push and I’m back in the game.

Did they ever do a Single Clip?
I think GEC's version of the Dogleg works best as a single blade

I’ve thought that since I got a 56 for my brother in law. It’s the best way to appreciate the handle shape.

lol same here... and the subject matter wasn’t GEC or knife related, that’s for sure. The content was questionable so I’ve elevated it.

I love seeing the 92’s. Here’s one:

Lol... :D:thumbsup:

They did have the single spear.
remember that dogleg as a spear, single spear
Thanks guys. I do have a Single Spear #55 that I like, mostly because of the frame and not so much for the fat spear.

For me it was more the angle that the clip sat open at.
I understand that some don't like a down-canted blade, I happen to be one that likes it though.

Right? It's about the most pocket friendly knife i own.:thumbsup:
