As soon as my lightbox is here, I'm going to shove my TC into an apple all the way to the kick and take a picture for this thread. That's what I have to say about TC resell prices.
You make a good point. I’ve been itching to put this knife to use, I think tomorrow I’ll give in and just enjoy it. After all, that’s why I bought it. It’s far to nice to leave in a tube hidden from the light of day.
In that case, I hope they make a nice run in materials and numbers that you can get exactly what you want!I understand that some don't like a down-canted blade, I happen to be one that likes it though.
Beautiful knives. I hope the smooth bone 85 resembles yours on the right thereM mcc850 Not exactly what you requested, but the #14 is close to the #25 in length. Hope this helps. (this photo was taken by me)

I agree (mostly). I like the 55 frame and I think the wharncliffe is the best in it (and I'm also not a wharncliffe guy, so it must really be great for me to like it). I find the spear to be great, too, though. However, the clip point blade in the 55 was disappointing to me--big time. I searched for one for a long time. After I finally secured one, I basically passed it along to someone else immediately. Maybe a clip blade could be reworked to jive with the 55 frame. Or maybe it's just not meant to have a clip in it. Either way, I'm not a fan of the clip 55s GEC has made in the past. They feel so awkward and the lines are not pleasing at all (IMO).I love the 55 with the wharncliffe, and I’m not a big wharncliffe fan, usually. I too love clips, and spears, but neither of them worked on the 56 for me. I was really excited for both, but quickly passed them along.
I like vintage dog legs, but I don’t think GEC has it dialed it, outside the wharncliffe.
I feel the same way about the 38 and 57, too. The wharncliffe versions trump the clips.
I like the way you think.![]()

I figure there's enough people buying them and keeping them pristine in their collections that I don't have to![]()
I like the way you play with wood my friend .I skipped the last 4 pages playing with wood in my garage tonight.

Do you think a Clip will fit in the Well John ????
Does anyone have a photo of a 15 next to a 25? I have never handled a 25 and would like to see how they compare.
+1, but also more #25 pics in general. I’d gamble Barrett has every one that ever existed.
Stopped playing with the wood and got out the paint.I like the way you play with wood my friend .

Love that stag 56!
Looks to be a perfect 2nd to the 15. Those all look fantastic togetherHa, far from it!I don’t know the exact number, but I know they’ve made well over 100 variations of the #25. (@CrowCounty might know the exact number, and is almost certainly the person closest to having them all.) All my #25’s are from the last couple runs (2015 and 2017, I think?).
I can, however, oblige with a #15/#25 comparison photo. I tried to grab knives that were apples-to-apples (same brand, same blade, similar handle material), and I grabbed a Barlow and a Jack each. Hope it helps.

(Sorry for the smudgy bolsters and water drops on the blades, I didn’t realize it had just started snowing when I stepped outside to take the pictures.)
