Lets talk GEC!

Was there a GEC magazine "cover" that had the three TC barlows in glitter gold, rose gold and Osage? If someone saved it or knows where it's posted could you post it here for me? Thanks!

I don't think I recall seeing all three together, Mark. One with the Glitter Gold and Osage and then one with just the Smooth Autumn Gold.

This is the only one I recall.

supposedly smooth autumn gold bone is also on the schedule, but it kinda looks funny :D theres like a streak down the middle...

It looks like sawcut that has been mostly polished away - it's certainly interesting.

I'm remember seeing it - would be helpful if anyone saved it to post the difference between rose gold and glitter gold.

Sorry, I need to get the account to upload photos but this is the link for the knife

<Vender reference ommitted>

I doubt that is a member dealer; thus you might get a contact from a mod....

But in reference to "Prototypes"; they are simply picked out of the middle of a tray of finished knives and etched prototype. Generally for one dealer in particular that gets a significant premium for them. Any dealer can request one ahead of time - most don't.

One out of twenty has a Golden Ticket in them. Good for guaranteed delivery of one upcoming knife - your choice. Didn't you hear?

There are only a few golden tickets and if you get one you win a trip to the GEC factory where Bill Howard will give you a tour and at the end you get a job sweeping up metal shavings off the shop floor.

.... and then they melt down those metal savings into a custom knife of your choice?

Now that the drawing is finished, mind if I ask how many valid entries there were?

I'm guessing we had like a 1:10 chance? Am I way off, lol?

There wasn’t a GEC cover of all three, but here’s a photo shared by a dealer (not sure they’re a supporting dealer, so I won’t say which) of all three together.
