Lets talk GEC!

There was a drop of the glitter gold, rose gold, and osage barlows on a dealer's site and they were gone in seconds. Had one in my cart and could not checkout fast enough.

 we are always talking about the buying.

Never about the using.:p

This long spear just won lunch;).

GECs are sometimes hard to come by. I'm thankful that the Forum Knife has been a sure thing for so long. I wonder if GEC would be willing to do one for the forum again sometime? Now that SFOs are off the table I'm guessing not.

I agree. This forum is free advertising for their products.
They don't really need advertising, so I would doubt that would play into any decision.

It would be more, IMO, based on our having had them do previous knives. I think they value relationships like that.

But we would need a "friend of the brand" to handle it for sure.

Can someone explain to me the toolmarks on the bolsters that line up perfectly with the jigging grooves? I've had a 92 Elderberry jigged bone and a 25 blue river jigged bone with this issue. Do they do the jigging after the bolster and bone is pinned to the liner?

I have heard two explanations.

1. It removed the sharp edge at the exposed bolster.
2. The nickel silver is softer than the cover and while buffing a little is worn a way because it is not protected by the cover material.

Same here. I happened to look randomly at my email right when it dropped. Had it in my cart...tried to check out twice...still sitting in my cart with no confirmation of an order. Guess I need to figure out Apple Pay...

They crimp down the bolsters over the jigging to prevent sharp edges. The jigging is done first I would assume.

However, it is something I do not like too much. My preference would be for the jigging to stop before the bolster like they did with this #12:

Not true:)

Yes, because in between reading Ken's hand written letters, Bill is sitting there thinking, how do I create more demand for my product which is already in hyper demand amongst the people who are the most interested in my product already.

My point is that this place contributed to the hyper demand in the first place.
