I asked Bill to pay me a consulting fee for my great ideas. I'm still waiting for a reply.

I did the same thing a year or so ago.
I checked in with him a couple weeks ago and he said he was closely tracking the value of my ideas and would send a check as soon as I reached the price of the postage stamp.

Thought i'd love it. Never had a punch on a knife, because i never thought i needed one, but heard they are useful. But then when i got one in hand... it did not resonate with me. Very heavy. Awkward size. And it turns out I really do have no use for a punch. Single blade version would interest me. Not sure it's possible to mod.

I'm sure they wouldn't mind if it was unofficially called a beard scout... There's what they can't say officially, and then there's what they wish they could say. That whole beer scout fiasco soured me when it came to the scouts.

In my mind it's either "Beard Scout" or "Hipster Jack" and of the two I like the former better.

Did GEC only produce the 78 in Canvas Micarta once (in one color)?

On of those things was bound to happen- picking on GEC because they called a knife a beer scout and it could be confused with boy scout, or scout knife didn't really seem necessary. (unless I'm misunderstanding what happened there.)

edit: now that I think about it, there's a lot of things that might have been distasteful in the scouts, and I might not be understanding which you're referring to, so I'll not go into it.

No, I understand what you're talking about. I'm saying there is something way worse that soured me on the boy scouts. (The Catholic Church and Penn State Football as well)

I’m wondering how many cocobolo 15s were made. They seemed to disappear fast and my understanding was they were making more than usual. But now they seem to have moved onto the urban jack.

Not upset, just wondering.

GEC doesn't ship everything at once, so more cocobolo's may show up in the shipments of urban jacks.
