Lets talk GEC!

Now that the caplifter has been revealed I'm going to try and get in on these but I'm not sure I like my chances. I'm not too excited about the 38s but if they stick around on the shelves for a while there is a good chance I'll talk myself into picking one up. Now if that 38 came with a lambsfoot main blade I'd be all about it! I pretty much want anything with a lambsfoot!

I hope youre right about them sticking on shelves, but unless this is truly an enormous run, I'm guessing it will be the same story as the last few patterns.

I can understand your desire for another Lambsfoot run, however my guess is that was a once in a lifetime run.

I think id like it with the main blade being the sheepsfoot and the secondaries being the wharncliffe and pen blade. Maybe even more of a ramsfoot than a sheepfoot.
The main will be the wharncliff.
Never mind you were suggesting your preference. My apologies.

More good news. Full disclosure, I cannot confirm this 100%, but I have heard from a good source that the 38 will be a split back whittler! I sure hope that turns out to be the case. Heads will now begin to explode. I have never had a true split back two spring whittler, and it would be great fun to try one out. Plus the Grindlings have become classics of the highest order. This one might as well.

Hang in there EngrSorenson EngrSorenson

You are correct Nebrasketball Nebrasketball , we are on a roll right now. Which do you prefer, your customs or these GEC’s?

That trio of red bone is phenomenal! Really beautiful knives you have there. I really need to get a red one for my collection. Bunch of enablers!!

I hope GEC proves you wrong but I also fear you may be correct. When the 93 lambsfoot came out I remember there being a late night drop and me being the night owl I am, I was excited to get a shot at one. BF members were still commenting there were some available but frantically searching I couldn't find them and gave up. I was new to the BF community back then so I figured I was getting trolled, but then found out more members managed to score one the following morning. So I learned my lesson and will never doubt BF members again. That was before I learned how great the community we had here on BF.

In summary if GEC never makes another lambsfoot this will haunt me for the rest of my GEC collecting career.

If true, I'm back in! I don't own a split back yet. Would be a nice new addition to the collection if I'm able to score one.
