Lets talk GEC!

The #74 is a really great pattern for me. The size is just about perfect at 3⅞" closed, and for a single blade, the drop points are both slender and very utilitarian. Being primarily a multi-blade guy, the 2012 forum Saddle Trapper is a rare beauty, with clip and Wharnie.

There is something very special about the handle blade geometry on the 74 mustang that makes it a wonderful slicer and easy to carry. I don't have experience with the other variations, however the saddle trapper looks amazing.

Yep, great collection they’re all very nice. I’m with ya on the Saddle Trapper, the clip and wharnie combo makes it a show stopper!:)

Please do not be discouraged Pt-Luso Pt-Luso . I enjoy your photographs very much. If anyone is counting, this is probably the third or fourth time I have posted these very same photographs; mea culpa.

JohnDF JohnDF , that is a great looking knife and a very well done sheath. Congratulations!

..and to that point, I'm on here all the time and don't recall seeing this beauty! Tell me more, is this a lone star knives sfo?

Just a quick pause for one of our members that were truly excitable and loved the hobby. Kenny Hill (onearmbladenut) has passed.

I don't want to say anything that is not completely accurate and only heard second-hand. But thought a moment for those that are believers to request calm and solace for his family would be appreciated.
Thanks for posting this here Mike. I have been woefully absent from BF and haven't had a chance to read through the remainder of this thread yet.
Kenny was a friend of mine. He was the most enthusiastic knife knut I've ever known. I will truly miss corresponding with him.
I wanted to let everyone know that I am currently hosting a fund raiser for Kenny's family, in coordination with an official dealer and the great folks at GEC. It makes me uncomfortable to offer much more information than that here...so reach out if you want to chat
