Anybody else pretty bummed about the style of the main wharncliffe on these? I was so excited about this run of 38's and thought they might choose something long and elegant like they did on the #13 congress, which I think would look excellent. This short, stumpy wharncliffe really doesn't do it for me though. You are the guys that see the waterfall in them pictures, aren't you...
There are pictures of knives on there.

I am actually excited about the length of the main. It is much better suited for actually whittling at this length for me.Anybody else pretty bummed about the style of the main wharncliffe on these? Bail & chain.
I like size of the blades myself. I don't know if this is a one or two spring knife. If it's one spring, the main blade would need to be shorter to nest along side the secondary in the narrower blade well. It is a 2 spring split back whittler with a wedge. The same setup as the 38 Grinling whittlers.I like size of the blades myself. I don't know if this is a one or two spring knife. Thanks for the info. That makes a really nice knife! It is a 2 spring split back whittler with a wedge. The same setup as the 38 Grinling whittlers.
Well duh, an opposite reflection in a mirror would make a 38 look like an 83.Okay, you got me thinking about this down the hall picture a bit more. This one is tricky because it looks to point out the obvious, but there's a couple extra not so obvious things in the picture. There's a mirror there.. and an opposite sillouette of the green guy behind the mirror... If you look at the giant 38 in a mirror it's 83. Maybe a run of 83's is coming?
Or an 8E? New pattern? Just kidding you know. I am new.Well duh, an opposite reflection in a mirror would make a 38 look like an 83.![]()
I pointed that out way back in this thread maybe. But hey, I'm game for a little fun.I’m not sure where y’all are seeing a mirror in that hallway photo. Is it the bottom of bottle that the Crown Lifter guy is holding?
I had the same thought about the mirror and 38... but can’t remember if someone (jiki?) predicted already a run of 83s? So I figured that idea was placed in my head and not actually deduced by me!![]()
