Boy those look like some square handles on those cocobolo versions... trick of the eye? Or real?
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
Looks like there will be some nice fixed blades coming up soon. I have one of the smaller H10’s. I may have to get one of these Bocote versions in in the larger H40 size.

Looks like they are making some Cocobolo versions too.

And these fixed blades have not made it to the production schedule yet. I’m hoping to see some sort of aged/soup bone as an option. Something like the one above, but maybe in red (true dark red, no pink please). Not too interested in the 38s, but now you (and GEC) have my complete attention! I will definitely be looking to grab one of these up.
I have only been chasing GECs for a little over a year now, but I was thinking about what has released since. 62, 23, 35 B&S, 33, 74, 47, 19, 15 TCs & boys knife, 85CL, and now the 38 whittlers (order likely out of sequence). This seems like an extremely hot streak of awesome knives. Can anyone recall a time where so many great patterns were released in such a short amount of time?

These look great.
Yah stick a comb on it. A coccombola comb.
To be precise, the 16 is called Little Indian Girl....might be why they haven't re-released it...or because it was not very popular at the time or due to having oversized bolsters![]()
I have heard that there is a low probably of the 16 being made again due to poor sales of the first run. That being said people change there mind and ast.willy stated the demand dynamic has changed quite a bit.
Yes all those thoughts have occurred to me as well but I there's nothing stopping bill from re naming the knife. As for any concerns about them not being a good seller I think that's not likely. When they first came out GEC was a much smaller unknown company then today. It's no longer a question of "Will all the knives sell" but rather "Who will get to buy the knives" at least that's how it looks to me but I've got to be honest I've been wrong before.![]()
Fact.Folks would buy 1095 GEC ham sandwiches at this point.
