Lets talk GEC!

This has been posted elsewhere, but thought it should be in the GEC thread as well.

INALLY!!
With the most gracious help of Mike Latham (knifeswapper), this week I added the last two pieces to my GEC #53 Cuban Stockman collection. Thirteen years it took me to gather up one each of the 53 different handle variations, many of which were only made in single digits. The knives are displayed from top down and then by columns, in the same order as they are listed in the GEC production totals.

Thank you again, Mike, you've made me very happy to achieve such a long-term goal.

Absolutely phenomenal!! And also, inadvertently a somewhat sad sign of the times. Back in the late oughts, GEC sure had no issue using a ton of fun beautiful, unique acrylics! These days, with their small runs, it seems we might not see those days again. Thank you for sharing, a real piece of history right here.

Im usually not too picky on shields, but on this one I'm glad I reserved the bloodwood, the tombstone looks a little odd to me, im sure theyll still get snatched up anyway!

My cousin that works there said it's actually a push button for GEC's first auto knife. Two versions are being released. Both have a tiny comb that pops out. One for ear hair, one for nose hair. I hope he doesn't get in trouble for releasing this info. The "Listen Jack", and the "Nosey Jack". Already sold out.

I know you are just joking, because it would not be GEC's first auto knife.

But it sounds like they're doing something to the shield, so it won't stay like that. Thank goodness, because the rest of the knife looks great.
