Lets talk GEC!

What is an elephant toe? Is that like a whaler pattern?
"Elephant Toenail" is a small 3 to 3.25 inch closed Sunfish pattern.

"Elephant Toe" is a "large" (or regular size) 4 to 4.25 inch closed Sunfish/(GEC) "Whaler"/Pocket Axe/"British Rope Knife"/Emergency Spatula" or any of the other sixty ~ seventy names the pattern is known by that you prefer.
In both cases because that is "what the knife resembles.".

Matt_WY Matt_WY The 46, is a Elephant Toe, tho GEC calls it a "Whaler". I'm not sure if the 36 is a Elephant Toe or Elephant ToeNAIL. It depends on the size.

Wow, I never knew there was a difference between "toe" and "toenail". Thank you for that explanation, sir!

Do they determine the patterns they want to release for the entire year ahead of time? Or is there some spontaneity throughout the year?
