Lets talk GEC!

It might be good to bring this back to the fore - since we are discussing it and all:

To make it a single that's all. I also find a lot of posts where people want single blade knives. Not sure why, I like multiple blades. Being a single won't stop me from buying one if I like it, but I like multiple.
Same here. I have had an affinity for the sowbelly pattern since I first laid eyes on one. Have versions from many different manufacturers and also a custom, but have eagerly awaited one from GEC. I will take whatever they give.

I believe that they intend to eventually make a stockman type pattern on the 88 frame someday. That being said, Bill and Randy are fairly good at looking ahead, so I think the 88 will have cam tangs so that they won't have to redesign the clip blade when that happens. We will see.
Maybe I’m missing something but these look like half-stops to me.

There's the answer.
I’m with you on them re-using blades though and am surprised that it doesn’t look like that lamb’s foot is the same as Charlie’s as the kick is different I think I don’t have one though😔 and haven’t found a pic yet.

An oddball for sure, but I'd give it a carry.
Just going by the picture, I think I'd take a file or stone and round that point off the spine of the clip blade.

waynorth waynorth Charlie would have to answer but think he asked for a stove pipe kick?

Definitely a different kick on Charlie's.

I'm thinking that is probably going to be a good idea unless they change something in production.

I did that to my White Barlow Forum knife. 🤠
You ruined the resale value!!! 😅😂🤣

I've done it to a few knives, but never a single blader. I was only thinking the #88 would need it because it looks like the spine of the clip might make using the lambsfoot blade uncomfortable.

That is a truly awesome tang stamp, 888 is very lucky in my culture! but i dont think id be chasing one to delete. was never a fan of the muskrat/turkish clip

Yes, I asked for a stove pipe kick. I am always referring back to antiques - maybe because I'm a little antique myself??!! 🤣
Kidding aside, I like this #88 myself, just as it is! Looks like it has semi-sunk joints, and I like the way the blades overlap - very sculptural. I ordered two from the Oregon Knife Club!! One for a fellow member (they are sold out - don't bother!)
This #88 Lamb's blade is slightly different than the Waynorth!
Looking forward to comparing them!
