Lets talk GEC!

Just paid my invoice for my 59 mint. Will be my first whittler, and first split back. These split backs have always fascinated me, really cool engineering/designing for the tolerances. I know many were hoping for a clip point but I’m excited for the spear point.

Congrats. My mint should be here on Monday. These Shaffers are awesome. I’m a spear fan so it’s right up my alley.
 
So even though the 59s are still being released, does anyone have any predictions about what will be coming down the pipes next? Also did anyone ever figure out what the raccoon on the barrel had to do with the Shaffer Whittler? 🧐

Racoon on the barrel I believe is referring to a run of 81 coon skinner. We saw a picture from a factory tour a while back and they had 81 frames in process.
 
Any guesses as to why we’ve seen a few runs of Tidioute only? I prefer a long pull on almost any frame/blade. I know some Tidi’s will have long pull and some Northfields can have a nail nick, but they’re usually NF, lp and tidi, nn. I also know that some of you don’t really care either way, but I sometimes like to resemble a Louisiana pimp. Looking at you Jiki Jiki

Whoops! went back and looked, and I was getting the background picture from 'whats happening' confused with the Shaffer whittler picture, so I was thinking it was two knife clues in one picture. Sorry for the confusion!

I think all this quiet (not you Quiet Quiet ) Is some NF 59s being made.
