I think you are fine, I’ve used Victorinox oil before and haven’t noticed any detrimental effects. I usually use mineral oil and just cover the entire knife then wipe it clean. After oiling my GECs I suddenly realized that springs are also carbon steel. They are, right?.. Got all knives out again and lightly oiled the spring both from inside and outside. Don't want to have a perfectly clean knife with spring broken because it slowly corroded by an unseen rust spots. Now the main question: I usually use Victorinox Multitool Oil, but if it will accidentally touch bone or wood covers, will it make them any damage?
The thing is that I don't know which type of oil Victorinox's is. Couldn't find any clarifying info on its composition.I think you are fine, I’ve used Victorinox oil before and haven’t noticed any detrimental effects. I usually use mineral oil and just cover the entire knife then wipe it clean.
Nice. Was taking a few pics this weekend, so I gathered together what’s left of my GEC collection for a group shot. All users except for the M&G in the top right, for now. The 29 is my favorite pattern, and I think I would be just fine with only those two, and maybe the 47 and 93. And possibly the 77.

I used to spend way too much time trying to anticipate drops on multiple sites, and hitting refresh till I got lucky. Luckily, I no longer have the patience for that GEC game, and I’m content with my collection. If I wanted another one now I’d probably watch the exchange here. I’ve seen a number of good ones sit out there recently at very reasonable prices.Nice.
Where have you found that’s the best place to buy ? I bought mine of eBay but that’s a gamble really these days.
Well I’m a little late to the game as usual but I was into fixed blades and haven’t been into pocket knives for a few years.I used to spend way too much time trying to anticipate drops on multiple sites, and hitting refresh till I got lucky.
