Yeah, looking at ther BS branded Barlow and the new Remington, I'm almost certainly sure it's their product. And their stuff is usually pretty high priced (no idea why though).

I can’t bring myself to look again. After the GEC version came out and the talk started about how much more it cost vs. other years, I knew it would be back to a budget built crap knife. What a shame!

I see people asking for a GEC Remington, but I also remember the GEC one from last year selling very slowly for a GEC product, probably because of the high price (around $170 I think), that was the same everywhere. It was built in large numbers but it still was around for many months.
Going with a cheaper, significantly, option may have been a necessity.
