Lets talk GEC!

So, a nice leather slip is a "purse" but designer jeans are more manly. Got it.
🤣🤣🤣

Buying these broke my bank account for the year. Designer knife pocket. Good for "pocket" knives. A staggering $55. Glad I got them from Ariat before all the groups start selling them on the secondary. I can't buy a slip, I don't have a Tony Bose legal waiver.

This is carried quite often in a pocket with keys, small Leatherman, a second knife, a brass Fisher Space Pen, and a guitar pick. No slip because it's too much hassle when I need to use the knife. I like the patina I'm putting on the bolsters, the bone, and the blade. This knife's story started as part of the BF community, but now it's also got my story written on it, without in any way removing the first story.

That looks amazing! Makes me want to try letting go and see what happens with a knife.

Tyson A Wright Tyson A Wright What small leatherman? I am a Micra fan. Smaller than a alox but a competitor for sure. Good little multi Tool.

H20! Non-traditional midnight camo micarta. I wonder why such a choice?

The drop point H20 is a nice little knife, essentially a fixed blade Bull Nose with a slimmer handle.

I never really liked the look of the the optional sheath GEC makes for them, but I do like this little clip sheath that CK offered with them the last time they were run.

That said, I rarely use them as it's an extra step towards having to retrieve my knife. I have multiple pockets - one for a knife, one for my wallet, another for a beer koozie and a handkerchief, and the other for everything else (flashlight, pen, lighter, guitar picks, and change). Sometimes I will pocket carry a fixed blade in addition to a slipjoint - in those cases, I'll add a slip.

The beer koozie… an important part of any good EDC lineup. 😉😁🤣

I have a few knives I’ll throw in with everything and more knives I’ll carry in a pocket by themselves -but never in a slip since it adds more bulk and when I need a knife I don’t like to mess with the slip too.

I don’t like the look of a knife that’s really chewed up but IMO if you take good care of them they don’t have to look that way.

Quick question on the new fixed blades - will each blade shape be offered in both handles? The "what's happening" pictures show what appears to be the drop point in both Micarta and Delrin. Thanks
