Heavy pull on the #73, my first.
Hard to move? Are you a Dealer then Sonneman?
I still don't see how a knife is a mover when I count 5 venders with 2011 French Kates still collecting dust on their shelves.
Like I said congrats you are an anomaly.
That is a stunner, I hope mine looks that goodI do not mind the pull at all and I am loving my Osage Orange's

You don't have to be a dealer to know when a knife sells quickly. This pattern hasn't been made in three and a half years and it's still in stock at 5 of the 6 dealer sites that I frequent. It's still available in very desirable handle materials such as red stag and elephant ivory. Just for comparison 8 of the 18 ivory Northwoods Willamette Whittlers, or almost half, have sold in less than a month. If the dealers were able to sell the Kates at that pace they would have sold out in well under a month instead of still sitting there 40 months later, as each dealer's allotment would have been in the single digits. I like the pattern, but it's silly to act like it's a fast mover.
Interesting that there is another French Kate run coming up when they are so notoriously hard to move. Looks like a special run though. I think it is cool that they work as bottle openers, maybe more people will be interested this time around for that alone.

Granted, they're not something one could flip for twice the retail price on the Exchange.
Nobody ever said it was a "fast mover". 5 dealer sites are only about 1/3 of the GEC Authorized Distributors, not even counting dealers.

Well, Ive had it! Blade Forums has gotten just over the top, and I will no longer participate. Im all for a Knife Collectors Forum to trade information and talk about knives, but Blade Forums seems to longer serve that purpose. They have been hijacked by a clique of knife flippers, scalpers, self appointed knife experts and newbie wannabes. Every comment seems to turn into a three page argument about what the meaning of the word is is! I, personally, have had enough! So I might read a few posts from people I know to be square upstanding people, I will not be spending any time there and definitely will not be posting! Good Riddance!
