Actually, I was thinking along the lines of a #14 with a drop point. That would make it sort of a #74 in miniature.I don’t think there has been a corkscrew GEC, so how about a Wine Ranger #75?
+1 i think we need more stockmans and id be very happy fora production lambsfoot with a huge run because we all know those would be impossible to get and flipped to high heaven with how desirable those are.Abilene stockman please with the traditional blade assortment.
I've been quite disappointed in GECs stockman selection and it's my favorite pattern. I feel Case still owns the medium stockman market.+1 i think we need more stockmans and id be very happy fora production lambsfoot with a huge run because we all know those would be impossible to get and flipped to high heaven with how desirable those are.
Blue or purple jigged bone may indeed cause me to pay secondary market prices.View attachment 2205906
I’m hoping for some blue jig bone but agree that purple or hemlock would also be great.
I agree with you on the gec stockmans . And I agree, case makes a great medium stockmanI've been quite disappointed in GECs stockman selection and it's my favorite pattern. I feel Case still owns the medium stockman market.
The 35 cattle knife I felt was really well made. The covers weren’t anything special, but the action and fit and finish was great.I've been quite disappointed in GECs stockman selection and it's my favorite pattern. I feel Case still owns the medium stockman market.
The 35 Cattle Knife is actually the only 3 blade GEC I own!! It is a VERY nice knife.The 35 cattle knife I felt was really well made. The covers weren’t anything special, but the action and for and finish was great.
I picked up this beastly 53 stockman last week for a steal. Well broken in for me already too.

Solid pull, nice snappy walk and talk, all steel liners and bolsters, it’s a workhorse for sure. Tough one to beat.The 35 Cattle Knife is actually the only 3 blade GEC I own!! It is a VERY nice knife.

I’ve done that too many times. I decided to throw a low bid on it just in case and it won.That was the deal of the week on the big auction site. I was watching and forgot all about it…congrats!
Yep !!!! You need a 72 Jack . I am happy to have the 71 , 72 , 73 , 74 , and 77 . I still need a 76 and 79 . That probably won't happen though unless I use some 77's for trade bait .thats not a bad idea! maybe a gap filler since I got a 71,73,74![]()
Wow, never seen a left handed traditional! Especially from GEC. What's the year of manufacture?
Yeah kinda murky on production numbers as the cap for this isn’t actually listed. Cap reads. 735109ECLHL and is in RosewoodWow, never seen a left handed traditional! Especially from GEC. What's the year of manufacture?

As a lefty myself, even knowing I'll likely never end up with one its cool to know GEC actually made this and it wasn't a mod of some sorts. Very cool!!Yeah kinda murky on production numbers as the cap for this isn’t actually listed. Cap reads. 735109ECLHL and is in Rosewood
EC= end cap
LHL= Left hand liner
