The Case 32 pattern Medium Stockman (as built prior to the 032 pattern change in 1978). I remember being quite surprised when I bought my first from 1973 - wasn't expecting half-stops. OH

That pattern with jigged deep red bone (and perhaps an awl or pen in lieu of the spey) would be a perfect pocketknife! OH

A stockman would be awesome, though - I remember trying to decide between a 48 an 82 back in 2014 when I bought my first GEC.

Ended up going with the 48 and still haven't picked up a stockman yet. Need to fix that.

The 48 is a nice pattern, and it's been six years since its last release. I'd love to have an opportunity to get one since that was before my awareness of GEC.

As many probably well know by this point, this is my favorite case pattern and I would love it if GEC did a reverse gunstock stockman to mimic it!

Good looking collection. How do you like those folding display cases? I’ve never quite found the right thing for transporting a bunch of knives. That kind looks handy, but maybe not the most portable.

If I take a bunch of knives with me somewhere, it usually ends up looking more like this.

It holds 100 slipjoints. Feels like a heavy briefcase but not overloaded. I’ve a thinner one that holds around 50. It’s probably safer to store them all in tubes but I can’t help wanting to admire the treasure.

Nice. I think I’d probably prefer something that would fit in a backpack, but that’s still pretty cool. I’d probably be tempted to carry it around handcuffed to my wrist, or rig it emit a golden glow when you open it, like the briefcase in Pulp Fiction.

I don’t actually store any of mine in the tubes, that was just a gratuitous tube group shot I took a while back.

I remember when I hit 55, couldn’t physically fit anymore in the drawers of my chest. I did a massive sell off, and told myself “only stags from here on out.”

Pretty soon I had 25 stags.

This GEC 29 has become one of my top five EDC pocketknives. Anyone know if this is based on an old pattern from a defunct cutlery company or if Bill Howard (or maybe Charlie) designed this one? Great pattern, an improved Cattle Knife. OH
