Lets talk GEC!

You can choose any steel you want, as long as it's 1095 or 4440c. Seriously though, who wouldn't pay an up charge for customer selected Culpepper?

GEC Custom Shop. You send them the covers and select the blade steel....

Uhm I didn't even know they had that. Awesome! Thank you.

Doh. I think I read that wrong. You were wanting that:o

I just made that up. Sorry Brett.:foot:

No worries, Brett. I fell for it too! :o That darn Mike just sets you up by always acting with honesty and integrity, and then when he's earned your complete trust, WHAM, he zaps you with a story like that!:D:D (Good one, Mike!!:p)

When was the last run of 85s? I haven't kept up with GEC for long, but have acquired a few. Really looking forward to getting an EO 85 at some point.

Last regular run was in 2012. There were a couple of SFOs that year, also. There was a short run in 2013 and another SFO for Mike Latham.

This one's from Mike's SFO in 2012

The 85 EO is a very popular pattern. I believe we'll see it again, but who knows when? :)

Hoping it's sooner rather than later. Beautiful knife you have there, MMM.

They're bound to come back soon I hope. Pinched bolsters, matchstriker pull, Easy Open notch, nice thread and in blackwood, ebony wood, or jigged bone..I must see these come back. Among the 55 houndstooth and 56, 47's/farm and field 47's and 71's.

I think the waiting is what keeps me so focused. I know right know if any of my favorite patterns would pop up it would empty my GEC checking account. However, it they ran them to often I may not be so zeroed in. It is almost like their business plan is a constant hook and no sinker mentality; create just enough for it to hook and cast just enough times to were they don't get used to the bait.

Im a small fish but they keep reeling me in. :D

That's exactly it, and it's just a beautiful business plan.

I'm really hoping for a run of single bladed 15s. Long pull with swedge. Can't believe I didn't go for them when I had a chance.

Jim

Woodrow. Yes spear. Though I'd like both. But really jonesing for a spear. I own very few spears, but Those long pull swedged 15s look awesome.
