Lets talk GEC!

Yes, I was not the original owner, I don't think I was even the 2nd owner. Anyway, it had been a user and not well taken care of. The most logical course of action was to just remove the damaged section.

Very clean work, and a short little coping blade like that is probably real handy on such a knife.

25 - 62 - 13

My brain was mixed up,I confused the 81 which I'm waiting for and the 62,for some reason I thought the 62 was 4".so when I looked at the comparisons offered I thought it was an optical illusion. But 5/8 vs 3/4,that is getting down to the narrowest of margins.

The 62 banana is a nice combination.i remember seeing a few in the 62 thread a while back, and next to the rust red jigged it's one I really like.ive never had a rotten banana pattern, not sure if many were made.the rust red on my 62 is my favorite gec red.

If you’re looking for a comparison of the 13 and the 81, this might be useful.

The 13 is nice pattern(I don't have one)but the size and that long pointed wharncliffe with a beefy pen blade is a good combination, personally I prefer the 2 blade,I'm sure alot would like the 3 blade like a stockman.i like a 3 blade in the beefier knives like the 35 or 98.if they release another pattern after say the congress(still think it could be an American jack, congress building is an AMEICAN institution lol)i believe the last pattern will be on the bigger side.what,I have no idea.

Love the banana color. 613210.
Ya it really is,I thought that pattern had the banana emblem.i have a smooth yellow bone on my cold steel mini trapper, it was one of my first traditional knives,it was one that helped hook me(mean swallow the whole hook)I thought I wouldn't really like the yellow ,come on it was yellow.but it was one of the few bone traditional's offered from our canadian distributor, but ended up really liking the yellow bone.bought all the cold steel and boker bone patterns they had,and then I found bladeforums and the rest is history lol.

Channeling a former member here, who had an expansive passion for knives.

My 13 whip should deliver Tuesday. 👍
OK I remember him from a few threads, was actually thinking that he was who you were channeling
