Lets talk GEC!

I only have the #62, but two 2020 SFOs which are among my most treasured GECs. Firstly the Black Linen Micarta made for Mike's Knives, our sole UK GEC Dealer and the only SFO he has had (so far! - he celebrates 10 years serving his loyal GEC customers this year). And the other is a DLT Trading SFO in glorious Snakewood. Both carried often - so elegant.

It would be great to have a 4-blade #61 Congress. I recently found a Case Medium 4-blade Congress, and I'm sure Bill will do it better!

A day early, did I mention there would be a whittler with the whip?😉🤔View attachment 2428181
Nice whip, the rust red or whatever it is called has become my favorite gec color, after getting 62 with the red jigged as well as 35 cattle knife I'm sold on it,it used to be the whiskey gold or similar colors, but it's the 62 red just like your whip that is got me hoping they use it more.

I’m looking forward to using my Farm & Field Pocket Carver next week. I don’t do any carving, but it’s been my go-to Christmas morning knife for a few years. Those three little straight edges are really handy for opening packages and such.

Those things are like hens teeth, hang on to it tight!

Wishing I’d gotten another in natural canvas Micarta when they were easier to get.
Who could have foreseen the place we've landed with GEC!

I prefer bone, wood and other natural materials myself but they're all nigh on impossible to find. I'm keen to get back into whittling and having a nice knife to do it with would be ace. Hopefully something GEC does in 2024 and I might have a chance at a new one.
