Lets talk GEC!

My 14 beer club has what I'd call a 5 pull which is perfect and why it is my favorite 14, and I love carrying my watch pocket as a backup blade. My other two 14's I would say are 3-4 pulls. Maybe I got lucky with the beer cub.
How is it so fresh?

Thats a nice little setup/combo the cap lifter gives you 2 extra tools.

Johnnythefox Johnnythefox Here's a picture that might help you John. The 14 even in 2 blade form is a small, narrow knife. I have relatively small hands with zero dexterity problems but I find it small, fiddly and skimpy. It's excellently made & finished but I regard GEC small patterns generally inferior to CASE versions. The latter gets the proportions right on their small patterns and are not toy like. I think you might be disappointed with the characteristics of the 14 frankly, but you can give it a try then move it on, it's a pretty knife.

Top, 14 then 15s and bottom 83 lockback.

It’s a cool piece, blade is certainly pinchable but the stag was poorly matched. Part of the stag lottery game.

Maybe I’ll try and hunt down one of the bone versions.
Don't really agree, both are very nice in different ways, plus you can't look at both sides simultaneously ;) What's the thickness of the slabs like ? That's aesthetics and handling characteristics in one ! You can always give it to me if it really distresses you🤣

Jokes apart, it's a fine knife- with use it will be really something.

If I hold the knife looking directly down the spine and cross my eyes the milk chocolate of one slab side and the skim milk color of the other blends quite nicely.

Mine is sort of the same way in terms of the stag matching up. Didn’t really notice it until this post, so I guess it doesn’t bother me. Thickness is good though.

Texture wise, it's a good match. I can see the color difference, but that wouldn't both me as much as the texture.

I have to wait until Monday for my stag to arrive. Can't wait to see what the lottery gives me.

Yes, it matches well other than the color. Which let alone bother me, I didn't even notice until the above post pointing it out.

I haven't seen one of these posted for a while!! GEC calls it Marrow Bone, but I think we all recognize it as "Soup Bone"!!!! 🤣
I don't often anthropomorphize my knives, but I gave this one a nickname!!! I call it "Mr. Uber-Soup!!"🤪

That’s beyond “soup bone” and into the world of soup-spoon bone! You could use that handle as a soup spoon with how deep that channel is.
