Lets talk GEC!

Is that a rule on no more individual release threads? I have enjoyed them over the years I've lurked this forum.

Did anyone else partake in the madness with the Fiddleback SFO today? I was able to get a nice one and I'm looking forward to handling it.
After missing the first two I put in my cart, I was just about ready to throw in the towel. But I finally succeeded on attempt #3.

Seeing as there are no more thread starters on new releases can anyone speak to the walk and talk of the latest 39 releases, specifically the spring tension.
I'm also curious how the spring tension is. I was mildly disappointed how light the newest run of 15's came out.

I think this is the dark horse (pun intended) for knife of the year.

I didn't. Knife Connection is clearly using a smalltime peanuts affair for their email servers. They sent out an email days before requesting that you respond to that email and be added to the reserve list with an idea how many of the knives you'd like, and they stated no limits. Cool deal. I emailed, and huh, no response. Alright, well I'm sure I'll be notified when they drop. Nope. Next time I heard of it, they'd been released and sold out, and several people got a bunch of them. One dude was karma-farming over on FB with like six of 'em. As I never received any communication of any kind from KC, I sent them an email requesting that they remove me from their email list. Heh, got no response then either. Clearly, I'm not one of the in-crowd who gets all their knives, which ultimately is fine. My thousands of dollars a year spent on knives will continue to go to other dealers who know how to use email, and who consider me worthy of a response at the very least.

It was confusing. I replied to the initial email and did not get a response either, but I did receive two subsequent emails; one that the reserve process and abruptly ended, and one that the knives were live (with enough time to score one after some frustration with their poor checkout process).

If you put your serial number at the end of this URL, you can see pictures of your knife. This is one that I snagged:
