Lets talk GEC!

So are these single blades made in decent production numbers or more of a small type run?

My wife really likes these Rozee Barlows, and they are growing on me as well. They very much have a Farm & Field look and feel to them and I think they would make for an excellent pocket knife. I do hope they are making a lot of them.
A couple of hundred per the tube art.

Just such a classy pattern! I wish they would do another run of them at some point. Does anyone know if that is a possibility, or was that run it?
Been asking for years. Pretty much thrown in the towel on it happening ever again... so that means probably soon lol. There's a Washington Jack thread around here somewhere.

The 74 is surely one of the classics, one of the best simple cutting tools light, easy to open and tough.

I always used to wonder about the uneven bolster thickness thinking it was by design.

Then it dawned on me someone has made this knife by hand and thats the way it ended up, mistake or not its my knife and I like it that way now.

I just took these photos after seeing yours.

I have similar thing on a few GECs with scales' thickness. I think that's not thickness itself, just they rounded them off in different points, hence the different width of scales' backs. Something like that.
Probably, its good to just think of it making your knife a one off and special to you. 😁

With the 81 supposedly down the road I pulled mine out and having a 8ot shrade stockman unfortunately not the American made but what I have, and was I surprised they are the same,I think but members with way more knowledge than I have can correct me.17228104244505149320705774445877.jpg

I'm looking forward to the upcoming 81 run. Charlie's SFO looks outstanding and it has me curious if the general releases will be of a similar combination or if we might see a full Stockman this time around. I have an 81 Bull Moose and a Coon Skinner but no Abilene yet. It would be great to fill that particular void.

Let us see it, please Dylan!! ;)

I was having a heck of a time trying to get some good shots. The wood on mine is quite a bit darker than yours, though I can see hints of brown in direct sunlight.

A fine piece though. Shown here with Mike's 2017 SFO on the same frame.
