Lets talk GEC!

Based on the down the hall image, I predict a 22 pattern with a sheepsfoot main blade, and then the cowboy image is the 91 pattern that the forum knife will be based on. That probably takes us to the end of 2024….. and would account for the last to “cool knives” hanging on the line.

This situation would almost certainly and for sure result in a 66 pattern in 2025……

I hope you’re right! 661325 would be great.

There will definitely be a 93 pattern at the end of this year or early next year, which will be "another forum" knife.

Has gec ever put out a 3 bladed knife 4" or less that has 2 springs with a clip a copeing and punch all in one,i have a hard time not wanting to use the 29 most days,as much as I don't find the 29 bulky or heavy I cant help but want to try a 2 spring with the same blade configuration. I enjoy the 35 hj and really like the 35 Churchill but the 35hj needs a copeing and the Churchill needs a punch.

Unless I'm mistaken (which is quite possible), the Wranglers had a Spey, not a Coping blade. I don't know of another GEC with the #29's combination of Clip, Sheepfoot (I believe it's not a Coping because the drop is rounded, not angular?) and Punch. Perhaps surprising, because it's the perfect combo - a curved edge, a level edge, and a poker!

So rejoice in your #29 Stockyard Whittler (still don't understand why it's called a Whittler, but who cares?) - it's all the knife you need (hugely indebted to madtaz63 madtaz63 for finding me this one):

I never thought oh thought of the 57 wrangler because I have never even come across one for sale,I would imagine not many out there.

Ya the 29 is such a great pattern, that stag 29 is calling my name.but i would like to see gec make something with this blade combo again, but I don't think 29 is much beloved amongst the masses.

Here you are (the #57 is a Geppetto Whittler, not a Wrangler, so bear that in mind for width), both in Jigged Bone (and the #29 is the red one) to make
Thanks,so the bolsters are the same size, heck the body looks to be same size with only real difference being the width with extra spring

No, the #29 is longer in the body. GEC say it's a 1/8" difference, but it feels like even more because it's a shallower frame.

It's called a Whittler because the main blade is nested in the middle, between the two smaller blades that pivot from the other bolster.

A couple more 57 Geppetto - 29 photos to look at. The Geppetto feels quite slim compared to the 29.
