I do not know if these 38s are currently sought after. At the time one complain was that the frame was not comfortable to use with the blades on that side.
I just liked the colour

The 38 special isn’t sought after but the farmers sure are. And I remember those being on shelves for sometime as well.

These were also unpopular at the time. They are some of the sweetest GEC models I have with nice pull and finish and a usefull size, but smaller GECs tend to straggle to sell, unless they are 14s

Good question. But no, that is how it came from the factory. I do like the way it is rounded on the edges. That way you can see the pattern formed in the Micarta .

I assumed it was from the jigged natural linen micarta run back in '23 but see now yours is a lighter colour.

I’m surprised they are still in stock now 4 hours after the drop. Could be a combination of price, undesirable covers, and/or people thinking the pattern is weird. I’ve never seen an SFO sit this long.
