I absolutely remember that. There are several patterns that sat on shelves and are highly sought after now. Very cool how it changes over time.

I do not know if these 38s are currently sought after. At the time one complain was that the frame was not comfortable to use with the blades on that side.
I just liked the colour

Its cause might not have been helped by being GEC's only (as far as I know) anonymous knife.

However, it can only be a matter of a few years before someone says "If only they made it with a single Clip - that would be awesome"

The "38 special" is the name paying homage to the hand gun. I was under the impression that it sat because it had a weak spring.

Did you sand the micarts down on the dogleg? It looks good.

id refuse all the same. some people are nuts for that bottle opener tho. i have a wonderful .99 keychain that gets the cap off in one go. ironically ive paid $100 to get the caplifter deleted from an 85 tho.

Good question. But no, that is how it came from the factory. I do like the way it is rounded on the edges. That way you can see the pattern formed in the Micarta .
