Lets talk GEC!

I would LOVE to see a sowbelly from GEC! Great idea.
I feel a run of 85's coming soon!

Phil, I came up with the name :p but I don't remember if the idea for the knife was mine... it may have been mine... or maybe Coolio (sp?)

I would like to see the 66 bjm turned into a jack or the 66 Jack with the pin blade replaced with a spear.
Dave.

Single spear pemberton. How's that sound? Also isn't it about time for that medium coke bottle followed eventually by the large coke bottle hunter?

I know really nothing about GEC knives. My favourite knife shop has taken GEC in their sales. This one seems to be readily available. Any comments about this Northfield UN-X-LD Autumn?

HFinn: A great looking knife. :) You won´t regret the purchase. Try 'em out and I´m sure you´ll like it.

You won't be disappointed with that Ben Hogan. It's one of my personal favorite patterns. Here's a special one I found last summer.... 1 of 2 made.

If we're starting a wish list..........
Peanut. With a punch..

PunchNut!
The idea would come from a lady. ;)
...
I could have said it the other way around, but I didn't. :D
...
Rachel, you crack me up! :D:D (You scare me sometimes , but you crack me up.)

...but what "we" REALLY need is a GEC SOWBELLY :D
Great suggestion, Jake; I'd like to see GEC's version of a sowbelly, too.:thumbup:

I have one and it's one of my favorite knives. A bit long to be a true EDC (GEC I'd love a slightly smaller version [emoji16]), but great for any EDC task. Be prepared to sharpen it a few times. Seems like the blade hitting the back spring is common in this model. Mine suffered from this minor issue. Also, the pull is on the stronger side. Not a nail breaker, but a good solid pull. https://vimeo.com/141284395

You can see, I've used mine a little [emoji38].

I agree! This one is called 'Burnt Orange' and has the Northfield banner shield. I've seen a few knives with it, but it's pretty rare. I wish they would use it more.

FWIW, I have 5 #65's and haven't noticed any blade slap on the back spring and I often let my knives snap shut.
