Lets talk GEC!

With a new year underway, I’m curious what everyone is hoping to see from Great Eastern Cutlery this year.

What patterns would you like to see brought back, or new ones you think would be a great fit for GEC? Any particular handle materials, shield styles, or blade steels on your wish list?
Personally, I'd love to see another run of Farm and Field in some older patterns. We haven't seen any 71's in a while.
I’d love to see a granddaddy Barlow

- one pattern I love but don't have any proper ones - Gunstock - with Stag clothing.

A departure for them I guess, but ya never know...

I want something in osage, but unfortunately don't like the big cigar or pen secondary. I have a feeling there is more to come.
Absolutely, look into a 29 pattern. They have one in osage. I've been on the lookout for one of those for a while now.

3.5 inch square end stockman
Absolutely, even a 4" on the 81 frame. Give us the abilene stockman one more time. The internet would explode.

We are so overdue for a #16 Canoe pattern…. osage, stag, ebony, and Rodgers style jigged bone would all find a home here.
I'd take any covers on a canoe pattern. Our luck they'd only make 100 of them.

The 2014 forum knife in stag as well as dark ebony with the silver bolster and cap, cocobolo and a nice dark brown like on the lambsfoot,so an array of 77 clip with caps.and the next month the abilene.

Love me a 16. A 98 camp knife would probably be at the top of my wishlist.

If I'm wishing*

1) Bring back the #29 Stockyard Whittler. It has one of my favorite blade combinations, and I'd love to have a spare.

2) #14 Boys Knife Harness Jack: Clip and Punch blades.

*but only if I can actually manage to snag one. It can be so frustrating to miss out on ones I really want.

The 29 I find I carry alot these days or else its on my side table, the wife would laugh at that and say what knife isn't on your side table.
The 14 clip and punch(with solid pulls) would be handy knife and an option for a key ring would be a bonus.

Two things I’d love to see…

68 cattle knife with a spear main and sheepfoot/punch secondaries. Ideally including GEC versions in 440C and elk with the acorn shield.

An 81F&F… I know but hear me out. Birdseye pivots, yellow acrylic, black delrin, maybe a micarta option, no shield, traditional stockman configuration with a big clip and All steel construction.

Neither of these will ever happen though 😭
