Lets talk GEC!

My grail knife for GEC (one of them 😁 ) would be a Northfield 98 Texas Camp Knife - a centered large size Propeller or Swell Bar shield, jigged bone, 4 blade and bail of course. I wouldn't be opposed to USA native hardwoods such as Black Walnut, Curly Maple or Osage Orange.

The time is now ! Last time produced 10 years ago this March. Pleasssssssse !

Out for a walk. I love being a mountain man with my mountain man knife.

What a fine and unusual carry knife, some boss Stag on there too

I'm keen on my 56 EZ-Open Hawkbill, tidy bone in my view, and surprisingly useful.

I really like the single blade easy open. The 56 pattern is hard to find and the single blade is basically impossible. I refer to the blade as a hawkfoot because it’s not quite a hawkbill and not quite a sheepsfoot, but more useful than either in my opinion.

You're right, it is a kind of hybrid blade and does more

I have several of these “moccasin” slips that Derrick Bohn used for the Northwoods Norfolk pattern, but this is the first one I’ve seen with the embossed, circular GREAT EASTERN CUTLERY. Anybody else have/seen one?

Buckeye Sharp Buckeye Sharp this one is very similar and is sold on the GEC website.

Thank you, yes…I’ve seen those. Pretty sure I’ve got at least one of the two sizes. Here’s the other two versions of the Moccasin slip that I’ve seen.
