2-blade whittler?Doctor's knife being assembled, and 2-blade whittler to follow???
That does seem very peculiar. Were they of an age to perhaps not engage on social media/YouTube/forums? I can't see how you'd not come across GEC whilst also being interested in trads unless you basically avoided everything trad knife online!Took a fair number of GEC along with me to a gun show in Cinci last weekend (not a regular thing for me) and was kind of shocked that no one there knew what GEC was, including the "knife guys" with tables full of Case. Seemed weird to me to not have anyone know, especially since so many of us GEC crazy folks are from Ohio.
Going to check out the same show but in Columbus and see if there is any difference with the clientele, will report back if its any different.
It was a wide range of ages and multiple tables of knife sellers. I had to literally take them out of the tube to show them the quality (they were obviously blown away). That does seem very peculiar. Shhhh there'll be even fewer of the releases left for us!It was a wide range of ages and multiple tables of knife sellers. I had to literally take them out of the tube to show them the quality (they were obviously blown away).
I just did not expect that, particularly in the Cinci-Tucky area, lol, thats knife central!
I have been experiencing the same thing ever since GEC opened their doors in 2006. I see a few of them at knife shows but only like 2 or 3 and the sellers that do have them seem clueless.Took a fair number of GEC along with me to a gun show in Cinci last weekend (not a regular thing for me) and was kind of shocked that no one there knew what GEC was, including the "knife guys" with tables full of Case.
