Lets talk GEC!

Thanks StoneBeard! This makes me happy : ) I was thinking about a Beagle, but this I think, will work better for me

A while back he confirmed it in the "What makes a good traditional Barlow"thread. If my memory serves correctly he said initial thoughts were saw cut bone, some soup bone and some fimilar and new options in wood with our first hint being the that fine looking Amarello!

Yes, that's what I've seen. #14 TC soup, sawcut, and the pictures above show amarello.

Here ya go,

I'm looking forward to these knives! Hopefully, I'll be able to find one.

With the smaller size, I'd love for the secondary to be a full size blade. A clip and sheepfoot (fitted low in the handle like the spey blades) would be my ideal combo.

Eric, are these all steel? I assumed nickel but I see the pins are silver. Can you tell us what the liners, and bolsters are made out of please?

Do you think those of us that pre-ordered will start to see invoices sent to us soon?

Thank you

Paid for mine today too. Shipping very soon. I'm excited.

I hope this leaf shield sticks around.

These, as well as the Red Wine Jigged Bone, look outstanding! I have one of each reserved and this was one reason I couldn't pull the trigger on a NW Esky Zulu.

Very excited to be able to have a couple of Talons! Looking forward to getting invoiced so I can make it official.

Many thanks to Jason and Eric for offering these!

The bolsters are nickel and the liners look to be brass. The pins are hard to tell from the pictures so far, we let GEC make those decisions.

We received notification that we were getting a partial shipment of our order so the guys on the top of the list were notified and invoiced. If you didn't get an invoice, don't worry we will be invoicing as we receive them.

We did pay extra for the tooling of the shield and I am sure we will use it on other projects as well.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this project an overwhelming success.

I cant wait to get my hands on my Blue Camel Bone #92 Talon! I was talking to Paul over at DLT and he said they should be at the store by the end of next week along with the stag. The Red Wine Jigged Bone along with the Snake Wood should start showing up this Saturday.

Just thought I'd throw this out there. The early reservations are available for th#14 TC Barlow ******* get em why you can fellas. And ladys of course :-)

Aaaand....they're gone. Oh well, I'm over budget on knives anyway.

I just picked up a Washington Harness Jack on the exchange this week. What with all the excitement over the forum knife having a punch, plus I've been drooling over the Washington Jack pattern for a while now, I had to grab one when it came available.

The red wouldn't have been my first choice, but it's starting to grow on me. It crossed my mind to keep it in the tube, in case I found someone to trade one in a less bright color (I think they came in white bone and ebony?) But I doubt I can resist carrying it.
