  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Lets talk GEC!

Well I have to say I'm really happy with my new GEC. The quality and feel is excellent.

All in this cost about $50 more than I wanted to spend but it is what it is.

Fingers crossed the next one is a bit less.

I wonder why they just didn't knock the barrel band off of the end?? Maybe they are going to make a piece of art or a memento out of the end and knife handles out of the staves (are they called barrel staves?).

What did you get?

Just received my chestnut 15. Great F&F, as good as I've seen. The satin bolsters and shield go perfectly with the chestnut.

SS and tortoise shell! I'm thrilled with this one! Thanks GEC, great F&F, and thank you Barry. (Gunstock Jack's)

The end would make a nice tray (or small table top) with a bunch of GEC Beer Scout glasses on it...

I just realized that the tang stamp on the 15's was done in script. It looks sweet!

Which is your favorite?

Tough choice. The old chestnut handles make the #15 look an awful lot like the venerable Case 11031SH. Very nice, and very slim.

The elk, as fat as it is, looks outstanding.

How about "both of the above"? :D

I think like Tsar does. I like the nice slim chesnut but the elk is matched perfectly just thick. The thickness does feel better in the hand though.

Some nice rare birds!

I really like those two tortoise posted above, I need to see one in person one day.

Josh, the elk is elegant
redsparrow, Macchina the tortoise just glows
all are winners

Alan
