As far as I know Will they aren't. These were a surprise to JBF themselves. Bill Howard actually emailed JBF and told them
"We recently ran some #92 pattern knives.
While doing so I cleaned out the #92 designated cabinet in assembly to
put together any leftover inventory of previous #92 runs.
I had quite a few parts for the JBF Champlin knife we previously made
for you and I put them together and finished them also.
Here is what I made in JBF.
15pcs. 2bld with East India Rosewood handles.
1pc. 1bld. Spear East India Rosewood handle.
1pc. 2bld. Original Rosewood handle provided by you.
All with correct shield but no blade engraving.
..."
Sharp little buggers :) Only the 15 2blade were sold to the public.
Not sure why they didn't just use the Catt rosewood that were an included though, perhaps to save the production totals.
A "old" new knife.

Tim, TD, congratulations on landing such a wonderful knife, absolutely gorgeous. Gives me an excuse to post a pic of mine again, we lucked out on these.

I would like to see a 61 or 62 pattern Congress 4 blades all different, like coping and spey smalls and spear sheefoot big

There were a number of #61s made with two sheepcliffe* blades, a large spear and a pen. I know that the bocote models are still available at some dealers. A good looking piece although I haven't been able to persuade myself to buy one as I always seem to find another #25 that I just have to add to the collection.

*the early #61s had an odd wharncliffe shape, designated as such, for example; 610410 although the shape of them wasn't really a true wharncliffe in my opinion and not sheepfoot either.

Thanks very much for the background.

I also meant are they - Champlin - still putting out other knives?

Oh sorry, they aren't at the moment as far as I know. The last SFO with GEC was in 2013, the last mid-tech was with Evan in 2015. I hope they do, asked JBF that if anything came on the horizon with GEC to please let me know since their configurations are so thoughtfully produced and designed with what characteristics and features they want on the knife itself.

Amazing 92s. Congrats fella's! I really enjoyed reading the background details of these and viewing the glamour shots with my morning coffee and donut.

I'll try and answer some of the questions asked. At this point we are not having any knives made. We did not use any of the old handles because Bill did not let me know before hand he was making the knives with the parts he had left over from the run he did for us. The single blade and double blade knife with the old Cattaraugus handles are not for sale. I am keeping those for myself.

As far as how they did the engraving, it's an engraving machine that jewelers use. Met a man in AZ that does the work.

Hope this helps, wish we had more knives coming. Mike

Thanks for all the answers Mike, the engraving was very well set and done and I'm sure as I hope, that we all hope more JBF Champlin knives come one day.

I'm looking forward to the Fremont Jacks, however they are using the exact same handle options as they used for their last Northwoods run. I wish there were some wood options. Hopefully there will be some good looking giraffe and mammoth ivory.

Looks like they may be getting back to some in the sizes that I prefer to carry !!!!!! Does anyone know what JIGGED DOG BONE looks like ????? i do not recall ever seeing it , but I have only been into GEC for only a couple of years.

Harry

I'm wondering about the jigged dog bone also, and in violet?! Sounds beautiful to me!

Can't wait for the #77 I'm in for a copperhead sawcut!! Also interested in the jigged dog bone in violet.

I am looking forward to the 72 Northfield 'wood', that was billed as being "something different" !
Also the Copperhead sawcut 77 should be awesome. Without 'ragg'

Hey guys, I`m new to GEC and I have a question. I see the Northwoods on todays production list but when will we actually see them available from retailers?
