Lets talk GEC!

I'm hoping if it's not ivory linen that it's at least some cool (non maroon) micarta.

I do like the satin finish, but the Northfields seem to me like they should be high polish..
I thought I saw somewhere that the Blackwood 72's where polished blades.

Yes the Northfields all seem to have a polished finish except for the #77 SFO barlows which were satin. The new #72 ABW's are polished and they look fantastic.

Maybe Ivory Bone or another micarta would be nice. Still holding out hope for ivory micarta.....its been a material I have wanted for a while.

Maybe natural paper micarta like the Smith and Sons Mudbug which that orange like look and light edges.

According to Knifeswapper elsewhere, they have not yet tested the bone micarta so it's "TBA" only in the sense that it's not 100% that they can pull it off.

Clip blade on the Forum knife??? (per GEC's latest Production Schedule)

EDIT; Thank you gunstockjack for verifying a spear blade on the 2016 BF knife, in the "On going details" thread.

Several of the Northfields do come with satin blades. I think it depends of the blade etch. This etch means satin finish in my experience. This #25 is an example of a Northfield with a satin blade.

I wonder what's hard about processing the bone linen micarta? As long as they're not trying to saw-cut or jig it then it shouldn't be more difficult than working the maroon micarta....unless I'm missing something obvious?

Unless they ARE jigging it. :)

I stand corrected. And looking at some more pictures, the new #72 NF in blackwood are indeed satin finished on the blade.
